Privacy Policy
Owl Talyn Press is an independent press, not an advertising business. We only ask for the details needed to answer your questions and ship your order, and we do not sell your information to anyone.
What we collect
When you contact us we collect the name, email address, phone number and message you type into the form. When you buy something we collect the details needed to fulfil the order, such as your name, email address and shipping address.
Card details are handled by our payment provider at checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
How we use it
To answer your questions, process and ship your order, handle replacements or refunds, and keep track of The Reader’s Circle if you join. If you ask us a question by email, we keep that conversation so we have the history if you come back.
Who else is involved
The shop, checkout on this site run on the Velk Studio platform, and orders are delivered by shipping carriers. Those providers only receive what they need to process a payment or deliver a parcel.
Email and marketing
We email you about your own orders and enquiries. If we ever send store news, every message includes a way to stop receiving them, and you can also just reply and ask.
Cookies
The site uses the small amount of browser storage needed to keep your cart and shop session working. Blocking it in your browser may stop checkout from working properly.
Children
The store is intended for adults buying books and merchandise. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
Email owlwisdom@oh.rr.com at any time to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will keep only what we are required to keep for tax and order records.
Contact
Questions about privacy go straight to owlwisdom@oh.rr.com and reach David F. Balog.

Running this website
This website and its enquiry system are built, hosted and maintained by Velk Studio LLC for Owl Talyn Press.
When you send an enquiry through this website it is delivered to Owl Talyn Press and stored in the dashboard Velk Studio provides. That means Velk Studio can see the same enquiry details and visit statistics the business owner sees. This access is part of running the service: it is how the site is supported, fixed and kept online.
Velk Studio does not sell this information, does not share it for anyone else's marketing, and does not use it for anything other than running the service for Owl Talyn Press.
The website also counts visits anonymously, such as which pages were viewed and whether the visit came from a phone or a computer, so the business can see how the site is performing. That counting is not tied to your name.
Questions about Velk Studio's part in handling your information can be sent to cris@velkstudio.com.
